SHARE angels
We are presenting a few very important individuals and organizations, without whom SHARE would never have become what it is, and whom we will host in Belgrade on April 26-28.
Friends of the conference, expert and recognized lecturers such as the founder of Pirate Bay Peter Sunde, founder of the cyberpunk genre Bruce Sterling, president of the International Pirate Party Samir Allioui, as well as regional leaders of thought Marcell Mars and Desiree Željka Milošević, will be SHARE's guests this year too. Apart from sharing experience in the field of new media and technologies, they will also take part in creating the program of this year‘s conference, which, together with our new partnerships with organizations such has Google, Vimeo and Electronic Frontier Foundation, has significantly contributed to putting SHARE on the map of important events associated with digital activism in the world.
Vimeo is our favourite video service, which openly complimented both the concept and the energy of the conference, as well as our Share.mov that we uploaded to their servers first. Therefore, this year they are strongly supporting SHARE, and together we will present a selection of films of the Vimeo community that are changing the world in a special way.
Google, a giant in practically all spheres of the Internet will present the practice of their section for freedom of expression. SHARE will also host Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), the most influential organization in the world that deals with rights in digital space and is a symbol of fight for freedom on the Internet. EEF will be presented by its international rights director Katitza Rodriguez, who is currently deeply involved in protests and advocacy against SOPA, PIPA and ACTA. She also concentrates on comparative policy of international privacy issues, with special emphasis on law enforcement, government surveillance, and cross border data flows.
